Scarefest.

Yay for Halloween! Hopefully you give out more treats than tricks! I'm satisfied since I watched "Hocus Pocus" and plan on having a Harry Potter marathon tomorrow. I made so many cookies for my fam to take home and treats for the little monsters back home. I secretly want it to already be Christmas though!

Why Didn't I Sew Yesterday?

I might go a little cray cray tomorrow. I have to finish sewing part of my costume, finish buying and prepping food for Costa Vida dinner and paint my nails. Oh and carve pumpkins if I have spare time...ay carumba!

We All Need a Reminder Sometimes.

This may be my favorite conversation I've ever had with a human being.
Location: SF Market on Wednesday around noon.

Normal chitchat with your checkout girl until we get to my final item: the chicken breasts of doom
COG(check out girl): Are you single?
self: Yep (my mind wanted to say 3546 other things)
COG: Yeah, it's usually only single people that buy chicken like this. You should see the moms! They come in and buy these huge..
self: ...family packs?
COG: Yeah! (starts to regret making me feel like smack apparently) Don't worry. One day, you'll be buying the family pack too.
self: Thanks K bye! (dies of shame and walks to my car and contemplates finding a new market to shop at)

It's a good thing I love my single life a little too much to care. Remember how it snowed Tuesday night? Yuck, no more thanks.

Leading up to All Hallows Eve.

Hi y'all. It might as well be -50 degrees outside because it's snowing. California girl + snow + Ewwtah = no bueno. Halloween is coming up this week and I'm so excited! I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to be but whatever I decide on will be great because I'm wearing it right? I wish I had Hocus Pocus to watch but I left it in freaking California. Everyday in Hallo-week (I'm SO clever right?) I do something Halloween related. Here's the rundown:

Monday-costume shopping (not as successful as I had hoped for but whatevs)
Tuesday-pumpkin bagel making...divine! I also made such good french onion soup.
Wednesday-pumpkin carving and Halloween decorating
Thursday-Sugar cookie baking and decorating
Friday-cookie delivering and halloween partying
Saturday-repeat of friday's partying + annual trip to Denny's and hot springs
Sunday- treat giving out and movie watching
When it's 5 degrees out, bundle up and make hot chocolate!

World Of Orbit.

I love the sweet sticky chewy stuff that is chewing gum. It's my addiction of choice. I'm not as bad as my madre who can go through a pack a day (this was right after she gave up diet coke...I would go through packs too) but I may have 5+ pieces a day. I guess that's better than eating 329289 times a day instead right? My favorite brand is Orbit because they have such fun flavors. I love the new tropical remix kind. I wish they would resurrect the mint mojito kind because it's basically heaven in gum form. The 5 brand of gum isn't too shabby either. I just hate peppermint flavored gum. It's too "spicy" as I refer to it even though I feel so pansy when I use this excuse for myself at age 22 but whatevs. Gum will make you as many friends as your pack has pieces. I remember how at EFY this summer, I would bust out a new pack and I instantly was the most popular one. It was the best. So naturally I loved this part of the orbit/wrigley site when I discovered it. Today several things made me smile. LSU finally lost a freaking football game! I was so delighted I almost called EJ but there's a 99.9 percent chance he deleted my number even though he would totally know the sound of voice yet decide to be lame and play dumb and feign to know who it was so I resisted. When I opened up youtube to watch cartoons (the new cool thing to do on Saturday nights) and there was this video talking about how Gingers are not possessed. This killed me and I was tempted to watch but didn't. One of my nieces is a redhead and my brother always talks about how she's a devil child and so I laughed out loud for like 5 minutes. Now I want new bubble gum...car trip? Yes please.

What a Monday!

Normally Mondays just suck. The weekend is over, school/work starts again and another week begins. Today started out good. I was going to get one of my free breakfast things (thanks Starbucks and McDonalds) but I wasn't hungry so I decided to postpone those for another day. I had a package at the post office so I ran over there to pick it up. My new brown boots came and they are so dang cute. I was so excited! I decided to take a scenic drive after that and just went around in Provo by some farms. Then I decided to run over to Winco since I needed some things from the market. They had huge boxes of pumpkins out front and they were only 8 cents a pound! Everywhere else is like 19-23 cents a pound so I struck gold! I got this cute little one and when they rung it up, it only cost me 46 cents. So naturally what did I do after I unloaded my cart? If you guessed that I ran back over and got an even bigger and better pumpkin, you're so right! It was huge (aka I could barely lift it) and it was only $1. I was tempted to get another one but I refrained since I already had 2 at home and one in the car. 5 pumpkins for one very single girl...yeah not so much.
After a great afternoon and a divine nap, I went and bought some fun halloween nail polish and tried on like 35738291 pairs of black pants since my other 2 pairs are basically dying and my other 2 pairs don't fit (ones too small, ones too big) but nothing looked fab on me. I went to mutual and we watched Veggie Tales. That just made me think about and miss my Ney. That little chubby cheeked fiend used to be obsessed with that show. His fav part was during the theme song when Bob stretches and in Ney's words "becomes a strawberry". I may or may not have LOL-ed at that part and had all the girls, leaders and staff staring at me.
After mutual, I usually go and get my "FHE treat" at Earth Fruits yogurt but I wasn't in the mood and so I went and got a happy meal. I may or may not have checked the McDonalds website on Sunday to see what toy they had this month...am I really 22? Sometimes I think a poor child got trapped in my growing and aging body. They had halloween treat buckets and you also get some Mr. Potato Head stickers in case you want to go indulge your inner child on crap food.
Since I have no idea/know exactly what I want for Christmas this year, I saw the most adorable bathing suit on the J Crew website and told my madre and she told me to credit it and have it sent to her so she could wrap it...aren't mommies just the best thing ever?! Mine is that's for sure!

We Can Be Friends After All!

I've never been a fall person. Growing up in Southern California, seasons didn't exist. My first year in Utah, fall was just the time of year where it started to get freezing and I was so not a fan. I like it hot, hot, hot. Fall also brings weird foods like squashes (that just makes me think of bugs or the game) and pumpkin flavored everything. The only pumpkin flavored thing I've liked was pumpkin bagels from the Bagelry back home...divine. That was until today when I made pumpkins bars...hello new lover. Where have you been hiding all my life? At least we've met now. Fall isn't so bad I guess. At least I can wear cute boots and snuggle with a cute boy.

Lazy Day.

Today I may have woken up at 3 in the afternoon. I may have wore yesterdays outfit to run errands in. I came home and the kitchen was OOC messy so I cleaned. Cleaning the kitchen inspires me so I made rice pilaf and the most bomb applesauce ever. I may have went to my room and watched old episodes of "As Told by Ginger" on youtube. I may not have any friends that wanted to hang out with me so I had a loner night...I love loner nights. Cleaning inspired me to clean my room and do laundry and organize my closet. I made a halloween wreath for my door. Then I went to Del and got some tacos since I didn't feel like making food since my roomie was owning the oven and I wanted snickerdoodles (one day soon) and then had ice cream and watched more tv. I thought about showering but decided that could totally wait until tomorrow. The only sucky thing about today was that my new boots got delivered when I was passed put in bed and no one was home and so I have to pick them up Monday. I'm so excited. They better be freaking cute.I may or may not have ordered 4 bathing suits this past week...oh well, too late.

Newsy.

Good new: the concert last night may have been one of the best I've been to yet. JR is basically everthing CB is and more minus the beatings. I want everything about that man. Popcorn chicken at sonic...divine! B.o.B's keyboardist was basically Lil Wayne 's long lost brother. Witnessed B.o.B doing some dancing in a total drunken state...greatest. I have food again!

Bad news: Shels got a ticket on the way back from the concert last night, I'm still freaking sick and have been sneezing OOC! I googled to see if you could die by sneezing and you totally can...gross! I need to get better asap.

All I want right now is some hot chocolate and I'm all out..yuck! I don't feel well enough to go out and get some either. JR would help too.

Lucky Day=Sicky Day.

Today I hurled about 15 times. Talk about unlucky. I managed to be well enough to attend a friends birthday party and have a fab time.

I Love Brown Parties.

Miss Aarti Reddy had a birthday so we went and had a cake party at the park. It was divine. After I went home and relaxed and then went to play bigger and better with Shels and some friends. We ended up going to EJ's house and cheating and it was like we weren't even friends...so gross. He would still hate me...whatevs. Then I went to grab Vish and Kamil and we went to Aarti's night party and it was crazy! I loved all the brown people and best was when this one white kid was like "Finally, white people!" when his friends showed up. I thought Kamil would die laughing.

Musica.

I saw this and about died. This is so true sometimes. (In case you're blind it says "Music is what feelings sound like") I love when I listen to that perfect song that describes just how I'm feeling at that moment. Then I usually express how I feel by dancing, crying, laughing, or just plain singing along.

Gotta Love the Biebs.

If you have a love/hate relationship with the Biebs much like I do (especially after hearing how HOT he is all summer by 14-15 year old girls...gag me!)
Then I hope you like this because Shels and I died watching it and talking about it all night long. Homegirl kills me in all her vids!

Pop It.

I love tart frozen yogurt like a fat kid loves any food really. The more tart, the better. When my fav place (aka tartest froyo) in Provo shut down, I felt like weeping. A few weeks later, a new froyo took over. I was a little annoyed and as a skeptic had to go make sure they were at least a little better than my trusty old joint. I walked in and almost half of the flavors claimed to be some kind of tart. I got my classic asian tart and then went to check out their topping selection. It was basically endless. I didn't know what to choose. I was about to load up on some kiwi and mango when I discovered what can only be described as fish eggs. The mere sight of them grossed me out but they many fruit flavors enticed me. I ate most of the froyo and avoided the fish egg orbs until one snuck into a bite...heavenly? I think so. Between mango and strawberry, I liked the strawberry ones best.

These are them in a huge tub. At times I'm tempted to order a 7 pound tub so I don't have to walk across the street to satisfy my craving for them. I went there today and was set on buying a cupful but then a guy that worked there started talking to me and I would have felt totally awk not getting froyo and buying a cup of strawberry flavored popping boba fish egg balls. Next time, I won't be swayed by the awkwardness and just get what I want. Here is me going to town with my cup of popping boba in my halloween room.
