Sicky Sick Face.

Remember how I had MAJOR plans for this weekend that involved being anywhere away from my casa except to sleep? Obviously I needed to chill and be miserable all weekend long. Needless to say, I am officially caught up on every tv show I care to watch, blogstalked the planet, and have lived on a fluid diet the past 36 hours. I have the most rotten timing for getting ill ever! Why can't I ever get sick when I actually go home where my loving mother can tend to my every whim?! Instead I get the joy of slaving over making myself better and knowing my luck, I'll be 110 percent better by Monday morning. I'm excited to eat normal people food again, especially since I had a long overdue date for making pizza and cookies. When I kick this sore scratchy throat of death, I'm going to throw a fiesta for one. Also dear roommate, I am so not picky when it comes to guys. To be picky, one must have guys to pick from and...yeah, I got nothing. Not even one man to pick and reject. Thanks for bringing that one up for the 2nd time. 3rd times a charm, no?

Guess who's back?

Not Shady unless that's a secret alias I'm unaware of for myself. Life's been super busy around these parts and over the past few months I've been everywhere from the snow covered mountains in Wyoming to the toasty sun in Southern California. I've picked up some new addictions draw something app, instagram (still don't get how to find my peoples even check my own pics online...#socialmediachallengedmuch?), talenti gelato in sea salt caramel...goodbye waistline! I love traveling to "Sallake" to hang with my crew and eat/shop/people watch. (I actually people watch anytime, anywhere especially on DR, what?) I'm so grateful the weather is getting nicer and hopefully I can start rocking sandals all day, everyday and laying out and getting my skin cancer on. I need to find a way to move into Britt's house so I can swim/hot tub/just dance. Since my 2 week vacation, I hadn't seen my Friday temple people and they are such darling old dears! I am still up in arms about whether Friday or Wednesday is "better" for me (wednesday-super fine brother working or friday-fav old people...decisions decisions) I am looking forward to summer fruit sales so I can make smoothies and salsa for every meal. Summer 2012 is going to be a good one, I can feel it. I just need to make some more friends so my life will be more social in the sun and a little less book reading in the library.

Feet are gross but it was Tom's "A Day Without Shoes" and I had their essie made polish "A day without blues" so a photo was necessary.

Plans for the Weekend.

Today was the birthday of Father Auten and I called him in the early hours to wish his day well. How I love those parents of mine! The activities committee met and had a snowflake making fiesta while listening to some Justin Bieber christmas jams. The best is when the boys decided to change all the lyrics to the songs and it was all kinds of ridiculousness. Last night, I went out with Shellie and crew to deliver gifts for the Angel tree program and it was so fun. I had only wished more people had answered their phones since we only went to one house! We got to see the pictured house in its decked out glory. I'm just loving the season right now! My friday night will be spent going to the temple and then indulging in the 12 days of yumminess at yogurtland. Please have cran rasp tart again. Also on the agenda is an evening of christmas movie watching and craft making with the aid of my dear friend pinterest. Saturday is our ward Christmas breakfast at 9 am! Kill me now for being on the activities committee and having to go early. At least we get to wear our pj's. Even if we weren't supposed to, I would have rocked them anyways. Christmas light looking might be on the agenda too. I love me some christmas lights!

The Season of all Seasons.

Yogurtland 12 days of heaven (basically) discount card. Did I mention they have cran-raspberry AND eggnog froyo? Hello home for the next 12 days?

The holidays are totally underways in my apartment. Christmas decorating is happening. Christmas music is playing all the time even though Mr. Buble is totally rocking my world as of now. All I need is for the holiday baking to begin and it's super official. Can we talk about how I'll be going home to my dear sweet Southern California to spend Christmas! I've been missing it and hopefully I've been missed right back. Disneyland and beach trips and good shopping are so in order! Yay for December finally coming around!

When you wish.

Low Key.

Halloween this year was probably one of the greatest that I've had since moving away from home. It started Thursday when Sister Glozell came into town and I got to meet her and Flavor Flav and Antoine Dodson. Such a fun afternoon! Friday, I made the most delectable caesar salad dressing and wanted to die partied it up all weekend long. Sunday we had the most amazing ward conference this past Sunday even though I was sick and just wanted to stay in bed all day and I finally made pumpkin bagels. Monday/actual Halloween, I got really sick and stayed in bed until I hung out with mis padres when they came into town for an hour. Even though I had about 5 party invitations, I wanted nothing more than to sit at home and carve my pumpkins while having a movie marathon...lame? Kind of but it rocked. Relaxing on the couch all night is great! I don't think November could have started any better than attending a devotional with my roommate that our dear President Monson spoke at. It's going to be a great month (despite the snow on the way to devo...talk about freezing!) I can feel it!

If you want to quit being a Smoky Smokerson and need a wifey, I am totally available for you. B. Davies can be put on hold until I see him next even though we're supposed to be creating a child sometime soon to add to my collection with Mabel Sexsmith...the conversations that I have with Senor Platanos. Homeboy be cray. I would totally marry him too but our children would be far too much for the world to handle. Also homemade anything beats buying it at the market. I have finally triumphed in making homemade rolls so I'm basically marriage ready now. I have a food baby from homemade enchiladas and the always delicious yogurtland and more homemade-ness is happening for dessert. Thank you pinterest for destroying my waistline.

Rainy Nights.

Even though I don't love the cold, I love that nights are chilly enough to throw on a sweater and make a cup of hot cocoa and have it in bed with the window open...heavenly! I wish I had a beignet or ten to eat to but I don't plan on becoming house size anytime soon.
